World Elevator was granted the exclusive distributorship of Hyundai in Europe in 2008. Before the two owners of World Elevator (Mark Engelenburg en Nick Bosch van Rosenthal) had already obtained many years of experience in the marine elevators business.

Mark (41) graduated in 1997 at Delft University of Technology (MSc. Mining & Petroleum Engineering). Mark worked for Deutag Nam (drilling engineer) and ThyssenKrupp elevators (manager Marine & Industrial elevators). Mark is married and has two kids.

Nick (45) graduated in 1992 at Delft University of Technology (MSc. Mech. Eng.). He worked for companies as Caterpillar (technical manager Southern Africa and Spain) and ThyssenKrupp Elevators (director new sales and installations). Nick is married.

Hyundai Marine Elevator is part of the much larger Hyundai Elevator Co. Ltd.. Next to marine elevators the company also offers land elevators, escalators, moving walkways, material handling systems, auto parking systems and platform screen doors. Hyundai Elevator Co. Ltd. has an annual turnover of about €400 million.
